Another Escalation

Another Escalation
Captain Jack

Obama has decided that he is to be remembered as a war president. This single act will do the most to lose him the support of those who voted him in. He was quite up front about finishing the job when he was campaigning but I, like many others, hoped that it was just rhetoric.

Well, here we are, killing more people and wondering why we’re losing support around the world. There are around 100 al Qaeda in all of Afghanistan. For this it takes America 100,000 or 200,000 or 300,000 soldiers and mercenaries and support personnel?

What are your thoughts?

  1. I think it’s a horrible move. Until we have a definition of exactly what this war is, then it’s not a war. Remember, McCain said we already won the war in Afghanistan. What are we still doing there?

We can’t just up and leave, but we won’t be able to in 18 or 24 or 72 months either, until we start rebuilding their country.

  2. It’s a mistake, plain and simple. War is not the answer. But, I agree, we can’t just pack up and leave now. Thank you Bush for starting this mess.

  3. Did you hear his speech? He said Afghanistan attacked us on 9/11. How can he be so wrong about this but right about anything else?

  4. What are we doing, charging another war and another escalation onto the credit cards of our children? It’s wrong! Let those who agree with the war pay for it with their kids and their money, just like the rest of us do. We should start with sending Bush and Cheney.
