More Examples of Tea Bagger Education

More Examples of Tea Bagger Education

More excitement from the tea bagger emails. No wonder these poor uninformed souls are so well, uninformed. Just look at what they get in the mail box. This is from the same “expert” promoted by the tea bagger education system from my last post.

As a serious student of history, I thought I would
never come to experience what the ordinary,
moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s In
those times, the “savior” was a former
smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets,
about whom the average German knew next to

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated,
the most cultured country in Europe . It was
full of music, art, museums, hospitals,
laboratories, and universities.. And yet,
in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U.
S. presidency) it was rounding up its own
citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws,
turning children against parents, and neighbors
against neighbors.

This is some pretty amazing crap. Normally America would just ignore the people who are so detached from reality, but with Republican tax cuts destroying our education system, more people, aka, tea baggers, believe the misinformation.

Anyone who wasn’t drinking whiskey and snorting cocaine (hey, am I talking about Bush here?) in school knows that six years is an eternity for an American president who only gets 4 years unless he is doing something right and gets re-elected.

More importantly, though, is the crux of the fable. Hitler didn’t take over the country by himself. He had a cult following him that was unable and unwilling to question him. In other words, he had a typical Republican party behind him.

Obama, on the other hand, has the Democratic party (and most of America) behind him and we are watching him closely and are quick to object to corrupt or even questionable behavior. If you have spent any time at all reading what the Democrats have to say about Obama you would know this, but alas, I suppose your Republican education stream (Fox?) is failing you.

What allowed Hitler to reign was a group of followers who placed party above country and, if you’re a Republican, you recognize this trait. It’s what the lock-step Republican party is all about. You’re either with us or against us.

It breaks my heart to see my poor neighbors getting their information stream polluted with this kind of deception. Hey, tea baggers, wake up before it is too late. Your people are lying to you.

The Pride of the Republican Party

The Pride of the Republican Party
Captain Jack

I get Tea Bagger email occasionally and it is never a disappointment. No wonder these poor deluded souls vote for Palin and still cling to the Republican party. There’s something seriously wron. Check out some the of the best for this week. This is from their touted expert on all thing tea-baggery:

Why? We have intentionally dumbed down our schools,
ignored our history, and no longer teach our
founding documents, why we are exceptional, and
why we are worth preserving. Students by and
large cannot write, think critically, read, or
articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers
are not picketing, school boards continue to
back mediocrity. Why?

Why? I”ll tell you why we’ve destroyed our education system and why we’re continuing to do so. Because the Republican party and the tea-baggers don’t want to have taxes to pay for a first-world country. Without a populous willing to pay tax dollars for a good country you end up with a Republican paradise, no taxes and a country like Somalia. Everyone but the tea baggers knows Reagan was wrong and government isn’t the problem. Lack of government is.

we have elected a man that no one really knows
anything about, who has never run so much as a
Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla
, Alaska . All of his associations and alliances
are with real radicals in their chosen fields of
employment, and everything we learn about him,
drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright

Scary? Are the Republicans really so easily scared? No wonder they over reacted to 9/11 and gave Bin Laden everything he could have dreamed of. It’s time they became a little braver. But let’s get back to the point of not knowing who Obama is.

This author is correct, the Republicans have no idea whatsoever who Obama is. That’s because their news sources don’t tell them anything other than second-grade-level sound bytes. Please, turn off your TV for a few moments a day and actually try to find out what is going on in the world.

Obama is a constitutional scholar, an expert in thing that matter to America. Why weren’t you out there revolting against Bush? What did you know about him? Did he ever EVER run a successful business? Was he in bed with the Arabs? Was his crowning moments when he was a cheer leader or when her was AWOL from the military? We know a lot about Obama and about Bush. Just open your eyes.

Conservative Bankrupt Policies

Conservatives’ Bankrupt Policies

Nevada’s governor, Jim Gibbons, is your typical Republican politician. He has joined the cult swearing allegiance to “no new taxes” when it is supposed to be allegiance to the state of Nevada. In fact, Nevada has been almost strictly Republican for decades and when not strictly Republican their governor has still been a conservative Democrat.

And, what has this voting record brought to Nevada? As stated in an earlier post, we’re first in discouraged voters, last in education, first in bankruptcies, almost worst in unemployment, and almost last in most other indicators of a first world state.

One would think that even the really bone headed would eventually get tired of sticking their tongues on the frozen flag pole, but Nevada proves that there is no end to the stream of illogical voting.

Gibbons swears “no new taxes” while the rich get away without paying their fair share and the middle class get straddled with supporting the lazy stingy or just unethical rich. The only solution Gibbons has for fixing the state’s tax revenue shortfall is to take it out of the budgets of the state workers.

The first string of cuts stole 5% from the paychecks of every Nevada civil servant and in most cases, over a thousand dollars in benefits. For anyone who knows anything about state pay scales, you know that state employees are generally paid considerably less than employees in the private sector.

By “considerably less” I mean it is common to see state employees getting 20% less than similar jobs in the private sector. One of the few reasons why employees agree to work for such low wages is that benefits can make up for the difference.

I’m not talking about benefits that the state pays for as much as I’m saying a large employer can self insure its employees. Once the employer controls the insurance, they can control the costs and avoid the problem with unethical insurance companies dropping coverage for people when they need it.

So, Gibbon’s first round of cuts was on the backs of the state workers. Today he says he’s planning to steal more money from hard working Nevadans while chanting the cult mantra, “no new taxes”.

If you don’t expect the wealthy to pay their fair share, you end up with a state like Nevada and a country like the USA.

When will Nevada and the rest of America realize that conservative policies are destroying America.

Selling America to the Highest Bidder

Selling America to the Highest Bidder

A letter to my readers…

Dear Friends,

If you’ve been paying attention to the news today, you have heard about the horrific ruling by the Supreme Court. With this ruling, they have perpetrated the greatest attack on our country that we have witnessed in our lifetimes. With this ruling, corporations (including international corporations) have the right to buy our political races and nothing will stand in their way.

Take as an example, the 2008 presidential elections. Between the two leading candidates, they spent $1.1 billion in advertising, and that’s a record expenditure.  Divide that by a four year term and it’s about $270 million per year.

This year, the bankers on Wall Street received over $30 billion in bonuses alone, not including regular income. This means they could spend just one tenth of one year’s bonus and completely drown out everything all other candidates can say. This is not free speech. This is selling our country down the toilet to the richest and most ruthless and most unethical buyers. Just think what the oil companies will do. Three billion dollars in deceptive campaign marketing and they can realize hundreds of billions in subsidies. There’s no better return on investment than buying a politician or two.

If you think business has too much control over our government now, just wait and see what this brings.

This is not a Republican issue or a Democratic issue or a conservative issue or a liberal issue, it’s an American issue. The only way we can repeal this is if we work together.

I signed this petition and encourage everyone to do the same and then to forward this message off to everyone you know.

It’s not too late but it soon will be. You and I are the only hope America has of surviving this attack.

This morning, I watched five Supreme Court Justices stab at the heart of democracy, our electoral system.

They overturned over 100 years of statute and precedent, and declared that corporations can spend all the money that they want to buy elections. In fact, these five men in robes declared that they have a constitutional right to do so.

I was there. I saw it. And one seat away was Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who could barely contain his glee.

If you signed our petition, you were there, too. Right in the courtroom. Because your petitions were with me, and I delivered them to the Supreme Court. If you signed our petition, you were one of almost 15,000 people who told these judges that “we cannot have a government that is bought and paid for by huge multinational corporations.”

And now, we have to fight. We have introduced six bills to prevent the sale of our government to the highest bidder. The “Save Our Democracy” package must pass. As Lincoln said in his first inaugural address, the war is forced upon us. And if we fail, then as I said yesterday, “you can kiss your country goodbye.”

Forward this message to your friends now. Tell them to sign the petition at to support the “Save Our Democracy” package now.

Well, Nevada made it into the national news again, today. Not because of our slimeball Republican governor, not because of our slimeball adulterous Congressman, not because of our Nuclear waste repository. No, not because of any of those things, but because we’re number one in bankruptcies, almost number one in unemployment, and dead last for our education. Thank you governor Gibbons.

So, since we’re the country’s smartest voters (that’s sarcasm for you Nevadans), I guess that explains why we have almost a strict republican voting record. Makes one proud, doesn’t it?

Even with our past two governors swearing “No New Taxes” and reducing government to the point where Nevada is no better off than Haiti, we’re obviously no better off for our Republican rulers. Hey Nevadans, the republican approach to destroying America is not working for making this a better country. I guess that’s why they call this Ne-va-DUH. Not the sharpest saw in the box. This isn’t really a box of hammers.

Of course, you would never expect a Nevada republican voter to understand that. Maybe this is a box of hammers after all.

2010 and America’s Lost Decade

2010 and America’s Lost Decade
Captain Jack

Happy New Year to one and all. May this year bring you the financial relief and medical coverage you so deserve. Let’s take a quick look back at the past decade.

Let’s see, it’s January 2000. The economy is booming, the federal budget is in the black for the first time in decades, we were at a time of relative peace. We trusted our sciences and scientists, we had confidence in our banks. We had some control over our banking sector, even though Gramm-Leach-Bliley act had just been passed but the banking sector insanities hadn’t shifted into high gear, yet.

The middle-class American made almost $1700 more per year than today.

Oh, and did I say that we weren’t in the middle of two middle-eastern wars? Oh I did?

So, what, exactly, can you say that America saw in the past decade that was beneficial? Okay, sure, there were a few Peace Prizes, a few discoveries, oh, and we finally pulled the life support from a long gone dead woman.

You can say it is just a coincidence that these were the Bush years, but no one really believes that it was anything but Bush and the Republican politicians who benefited from everything that is now harming America.
