Warning! Toxic, Polluted Poisons Oozing From Your Local Media.

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

Take a short trip with me, and think back to the times the free market was solving its problems with the corrupt tobacco companies. Well, okay, since we can’t find an example of the free market doing anything but causing this problem, let’s instead remember the investigations and the hearing and the penalties imposed on those who would lie to us to make a buck, while the naive of us were dying from their greed.

Remember? The cigarette companies were telling us how it was healthy to smoke.

Now, lets fast forward to some time in the near future. Exxon and the other criminal oil companies will be on trial for lying to us and polluting our science and our media so they can continue to keep dumping their poisons into the air we breathe. We will be finding countless evidence how they purposely polluted our scientific reports to keep America confused so they can continue to destroy the planet. Imagine they will receive justice for causing America to drag our heels on addressing global climate change, just so they can make a couple extra bucks.

Now, how do we get there from here? When will our government start investigating to see who is purposely polluting our media and our sciences with junk Corrupt Conservative science? What will the penalties be? Will we be in time to stop the corruption and stop the pending climate disasters?

The day will come. Will it be in time? Or should we be afraid it’s already too late? It’s not too late to contact your representatives and demand investigations into the Oil Media Corruption.

Quit Desecrating the US Flag

US Flag

Don’t you just hate liars? Hypocrites? Those who bear false witness?

I always taught my children not to “hate”. There are much better emotions to use. But, some times, there is no better way to describe the feeling one gets when they see their country being destroyed by flag waiving, cross bearing, self-proclaimed-patriots known as the Conservatives. Every time I see a conservative driving a gas guzzling, terrorist supporting SUV with a “Support the Troops” sticker, or a pasted on American flag, it makes me want to puke.

It’s time for Americans to take back their flag, and their country. The bad guys have taken over the flag and wrapped up all their filthy little deeds in it. The corrupt media just continues to print picture after picture of the most criminal, unpatriotic president and vice president in America’s history, all wrapped up in the flag. Stop, already. If you don’t have your own pictures of the criminals, without the flag, go out and get one. It’s your job, stupid.

The soldier-killing SUVs sporting the American flag should be seen as out and out liars. Nobody thinks you care one hoot about the soldiers if you continue to support the terrorists (in our presidency and over seas). Take down your Support-the-Troops sticker unless you’re ready to do something to save this country from those draped up in our stars and stripes, soiling our country, our constitution, and our flag.

For those of us who do love our country and do support our troops, get out your flag and show that it’s not just the liars who wave it.

Sad, Pathetic Party

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

by David Schlecht

It’s sad, very sad to see what the Republicans have done with their party. The Republican’s great “Contract With America” has become a great contract on American and on common sense and on truth, and virtue, and morals. Will the Republican Party survive?

The Republicans great plan was to bombard Americans with enough negative emotions and associate it with other political parties, that the voters became uncomfortable with the terms given those other parties. Newt G. told all his minions to use words to associate with the other parties:

“Decay, failure, fail, collapsing, deeper, crisis, urgent, destructive, destroy, sick, pathetic, lie, liberal, they, them, unionized bureaucracy, compassion is not enough, betray, consequences, limits, shallow, traitors, sensationalists, endanger, coercion, hypocrisy, radical, threaten, devour, waste, corruption, incompetent, permissive, destruction, impose, self-serving, greed, ideological, insecure, anti-flag, anti-family, anti-child, anti-jobs, pessimistic, excuses, intolerant, stagnation, welfare, corrupt, selfish, insensitive, status quo, mandates, taxes, spending, shame, disgrace, punish, bizarre, cynicism, cheat, steal, abuse of power, machine, bosses, obsolete, criminal rights, red tape, and patronage.”

Now, all that is left is America’s realization that all these negative feelings are what define the Republican Party.

Yes, all those negative things the Republican Party was trying to associate with other political parties have all come home to roost squarely on the Republican nest.

It’s sad, just real sad that they couldn’t have been honest enough to use fair or balanced or even honest words to describe others. Now they’ve become all the negative emotions they tried to assign to their neighbors.

Repugnant, Repulsive, and so very sad. The new Republican Party.

John Edwards for President

Monday, December 24th, 2007

by David Schlecht

I’ve been avoiding endorsing any one presidential candidate up until now. However, the candidates have had sufficient time to solidify their platforms and clean up the loose ends on their programs. And, that means it’s time for us Americans to decide who we’re ready to support. And, support is the right word. If you haven’t decided on a candidate, do it. Hopefully this article will give you some food for thought. Once you’ve decided, scrounge up your quarters and any spare change you have and send it to your candidate of choice.

As much as we hate the idea. money still plays an inappropriate role in the selection of the American president, and if you care about America, you’ll send what you can to your candidate of choice.

My candidate? John Edwards. I’ll explain more, shortly.

I am not affiliated with any of the candidates and have donated small “seed money” contributions to the different campaigns, to help ensure that we will have quality candidates to chose from. Now, I’m done comparing the candidates and am firmly behind just one, John Edwards. Here’s why.

1. National Security, Terrorism, Homeland Defense: This entire topic is intended to speak to the emotionally unstable, amongst us. If you’re a thin-skinned Republican, you’re best off skipping this part as you’re sure to not understand it. The Republican fear mongering is only intended to inflame the irrational and unstable and frightened. Most of us have outgrown wetting our pants every time something scary happens, but many haven’t. We call those people Republicans. We’ve suffered terrorism, here at home, many times, and didn’t feel the need to throw away our constitution and rights, not until Bush, any way. When the number of people murdered by terrorists exceeds the number of children in America who die from lack of proper medical care, then it’ll become an issue. Until then, it’s just a Republican ploy to manipulate the weak.

Edwards voted for the Iraq war and admits that it was a mistake. He was voted against further military excursions. Hillary has voted for every hint of the war against, not only Iraq, but Iran as well.

2. “It’s the economy, stupid.” Yes, it’s the economy. This is one of the most important issues facing the post-Republican America. How do we recover from decades of Republican stupidity? How do we recover from “let the market decide” childishness? How do we change “the economy is doing well” to mean, Americans are doing well?

The Clintons are behind the NAFTA that has caused the most harm to American workers since the Republican Great Depression. I sure don’t what them making any more economic decisions for us like that. If Hillary admits that the Free Trade agreements are hurting America, then I’ll have a little more confidence in her economic perspectives. Till then…

Edwards opposes these harmful agreements. Obama thinks they can be reworked to make them usable.

3. Health Care. This is certainly more important than our Global war on Brown People. Anyone who has read my earlier writing on the failing state of the American Health Care know that the Insurance Industry is a fundamental cause of the broken system. By forcing us to all have insurance doesn’t make the insurance companies any more interested in paying out claims. The Insurance Industry needs to be regulated much more than it is. Any industry that makes money refusing to fulfill their side of an agreement, should be banned. Period. Without this, there would be no profit in insurance and hence no middle man in our health crisis, denying us medical treatment.

Hillary wants the Insurance Industry running our health care and everyone required to pay them money. Obama wants insurance involved but with people having the option to go with a public policy as a last resort. Only Edwards sees insurance as a fundamental cause of the rotten state of our health care, and is interested in removing it from the equation. Bold words! No insurance money for you, Mr. Edwards.

4. Media Madness! Of the three, only Edwards seems to be willing to express how broken our media is. This week the FCC has allowed an absolutely awful consolidation of the media. If the Bush criminals have their way, the media will be owned by nobody but Republican before Bush is finally thrown from office. Imagine if Fox owned all the media. A Conservative dream come true. What is Hillary doing about it? Nothing. What is Obama doing? Whining. Edwards has been trying to clean up the media inequality for a long time. Without fixing the media, all the rest of this discussion goes down the drain.

Will Edwards be a perfect president? I seriously doubt it. Will he do all of the things he promises? Obviously not. Will he try to do most? His track record shows that he is committed to the issues and as long has he has our support, I believe he will continue to get America fixed.

Continuing Award for the most Do Nothing Republican Senate

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

As I’ve written before, this Senate continues to shatter all records for obstructionism. No, not the Democrats in the Senate. They, for the most part, are making sacrifices to get things done. But, the Republicans… they’re trying their hardest to destroy America and make it look like it’s the Democrats fault. The most Do Nothing Senate Ever!

Now, in all reality, why would this Senate block more legislation in this fraction of a year than any other full-term Senate? Is it because they don’t want to pass legislation that isn’t 100% pork for their political financiers? Is it because the Republican Senate really doesn’t like any of the bills submitted? Is it that they really are good people and really want America to survive the current long string of disasters?

No, I didn’t really think you would think that, either. No, their entire purpose is to destroy America in any way they can, if it can make their primary enemies (American voters) suffer. Yes, they are playing politics when their country expects, nay, needs them to fulfill their sworn duties. They don’t care. Plain and simple, they don’t care about America. They only care about their corporate owners and future employers.

Interested in seeing exactly what the Republican Senators are so opposed to? It almost makes one sick to see how broken this Republican Party has become.

Will they survive the Bush Legacy?

I can’t see how. America knows what they’re doing, even if the corporate media has refused to report in it. Americans are waking up.
