This is Not Normal

We must work to ensure this does not become the norm.

America has endured an endless stream of unbelievable and unacceptable embarrassments from the Trump administration. We are becoming numb to the horrors. Worst of all, the Republican representatives who are responsible for censoring Trump are all too happy to circle the wagons rather than actually having investigations into the wrong doings.

This is not normal. Even Nixon had Republicans around him who were prepared to see that the crimes were investigated. Today’s GOP just wants to brush it under the rug.

This is not normal.

When a political party holds the needs of their party over the needs of America it can only be bad for America. It is not normal for an American political party to downplay the fact that a foreign country has meddled with our elections. Regardless of whether or not you believe it influenced the outcome, it is an attack from a foreign country and needs to be brought to light. Yet, the GOP hides and downplays it.

Is that normal?

A president fires government official who are responsible for investigating this which seems to be an obvious obstruction of justice. Maybe it was just a stupid mistake. Maybe. But if Obama had been involved in it during his presidency, there would have been endless investigations and allegations. Yet, we hear nothing from the party now that it’s one of their own.

This is not normal. We cannot allow this to stand. We must take back our democracy and get out the party that will hide attacks from a foreign country to protect their president.

This is not a Democratic or Republican issue, it’s an American issue. No party is more important than the needs of our great country and anyone who is trying to downplay this is hurting our nation.

This is not normal.

Obama Success

How Things Have Changed Since Obama

Under Bush Under Obama
Major attacks on our soil Trade Center Twin Towers None
Number of Wars Lied Into 2 0
Benghazi Attacks 11 1
New Jobs per Month -700,000 +200,000
Health Insurance Inflation Rate Over 30% 12%
Price of gasoline Over $4.00 – Drill Baby Drill Under $3.00
Economy Greatest recession since Great Depression Stock Market at all time high
Common Sense of Conservative Voters Poor Even Worse

The Republicans hate Obama so much they want the good old days back.

And, get ready. We’re going to see them and much worse that we could have imagined.

What has Happened to Our World?

I stumbled across a children’s health clinic being held at a local hardware store, today.

The horror of our health care industry smacked me right in the face. What have we done with our once great nation?

I saw an endless line of children without health insurance. Some of the children were so sick someone called the ambulance. Even a fire truck showed up. Some of the children were too sick to even stand on their own.

How could we let this nation come to this? How can we be so silent while the Republicans turn this great country into the Libertarian Paradise of Somalia?  Children there are dying without health care, too.

Health care is a right, it’s not a privileged offered to only the wealthy. Obamacare is a small, tiny step in the right direction and even that is being opposed by the Republicans. The Republican party wants the sick and the poor to hurry up and just die.

This isn’t the America I read about in school. This is a bizarre nightmare brought on by too much Libertarian Voodoo economics.

This country is falling apart around our ankles and we need to get mad as Hell and get out in the streets and demand progress.

What is the Latest on Benghazi?

Benghazi!!

The Republicans are trying to start up a new round of investigations into Benghazi. The new investigations will cost you and me, the American tax payer over $10,000.000.

The Republicans think that it’s okay to put money into these pointless investigations but not a penny into helping the poor or unemployed.

America is sick and tired of the Republicans treating us like ignorant savages and believing that we won’t kick them out come next election. We are sick and tired of this and we’re not going to take it anymore.

The Republican voter is just as horrified and concerned about their Republican party as is the rest of the country.  We will be seeing a big change in the coming election.

But, what about Benghazi? What new is there to investigate? Well, the fact is, there is nothing new. There is nothing to investigate. It is just a political stunt to fool the Republican base into thinking Hillary Clinton had something to do with it. But the Republican voters aren’t taking it anymore.

But, even the Republican voters know Hillary isn’t responsible for putting on her SWAT outfit and personally guarding every embassy, hot house, and out house around the world. The Republican voters know it’s all about politics because the Republican party really has nothing else to run on.

Hey, Republican party, wake up. The Republican voter has had enough. You’re outta here.

Oh, and what about Benghazi? Why is it coming up again, right now? Because the Republicans don’t have anything else to distract their voters from the obvious failure that has become of the Republican party.

Here is what you need to know about Benghazi:

BenghaziAmerica has suffered numerous consulate and embassy attacks over the years, but this is the only one the Republican party wants to investigate. Go figure.

Republicans Block Unemployment Vote Again

by
Matthew

The Republican party wants so badly for the poor to just die, that they are even preventing the unemployment bill from coming up for a simple vote.

If they weren’t blocking Democracy, the vote would likely pass and the poor and unemployed would be spared more hardship.

But, no, they don’t even want it to come up for a vote so they blocked even the hopes of voting on it. The Republicans filibustered the unemployment bill, again.

What kind of a person would obstruct Democracy just so more poor people would starve to death?

Only a Republican.

Conservatives and Democracy

Help me out, here, if you can.

This seems so obvious yet I never hear anyone talking about it and would never, ever expect to hear about it in the news or even in political articles. Why not?

Here’s my concern.

There has been plenty of research into the weakness Republicans have for hierarchy. They grow up with it, they crave it, they exhibit signs that they need it, they vote for it, they demand it in their churches, they exhibit nervousness in its absence.

Conservatives expect a strong, unquestioned father figure in the home. In some few cases, it may be a matriarchy as opposed to a patriarchy where the mother rules with unquestioned authority.

Conservatives vote for strong leaders. Nowhere in the constitution does it say we should be voting for leaders. Democracies don’t have leaders, we have representatives. Look at any president conservatives have voted in during your lifetime. They are all perceived as strong “leaders”. Look at the congressmen and even the local “leaders” the conservative vote in.

Conservatives tend to be more active in their religion, a religion that is the epitome of patriarchy. Like a cult, you get excommunicated when you question the “leader.”

Conservatives raise their children to respect authority, never question it.

Liberals, on the other hand, know that all authority must be continually questioned, You never take anything on faith. There are no kings in America, because our founding fathers were majority liberal.

Here’s a simple example: when driving down the road, if you pass a policeman, you will notice that some drivers will slow down and fear (respect) authority while others will nod and say thank you and continue on at the legal speed. Which ones are liberal and which are conservative? Seems obvious to me.

Taking this to the logical conclusion, conservative voters vote against democracy at every opportunity because democracy is non-hierarchical. Conservatism needs a strong leader, a king or a dictator. Liberals need representatives.

If our founding fathers were conservatives, this would not be a democracy and if today’s conservatives get their way, we will cease to be one.

Being liberal or conservative shows different brain structure, but this is because of how the children are raised. In other words, there is a cure for conservatism. Training, education, and birth control. Some of them just have to be trained on how to be empathetic. And, all of them need to be removed from the education system.

Seven Things You Need To Know About Benghazi

Investigations in our Congress are costing us millions of dollars in taxes and nothing to show for it. Are we sick and tired of the Republican witch hunts?

Here are the facts about Benghazi that you won’t hear in the news and these should make your blood boil whether your Republican or Democrat:

  1. Republicans in Congress voted repeatedly to slash funding for embassy security.
  2. Obama has repeatedly request increased funds for embassy security.
  3. The Republican Sequester slashes more money from embassy security.
  4. All the investigations into Benghazi have been a waste of our tax dollars and a waste of time for America.
  5. Under Bush, there were 11 embassies attacked. 53 people died. 90 were injured. How many Republican investigations into this? Zero. It’s time for us to remove this sick party from our government.
  6. Under Bush, one embassy was successfully attacked twice. Still no investigations.
  7. Poor children are starving, homeless are freezing to death, and the Republicans can find no money for them but plenty to pursue this fake scandal.

Follow the link I posted above. There are lots of facts if you’re interested. Here is just a small example:

The Awakening of America

The Awakening of America
by
David Schlecht

American voters are waking up from the cult they have been mesmerized by.

As with cults, people believe the absurd without question. Those who are questioned are ostracized and eventually excommunicated from the cult.

Cult followers typically do things that are against their best interests. Cults like Jonestown require the followers give away all their possessions, especially money, the family savings, retirement savings, homes, stock investments.

Cult followers live in a daze and are unable or unwilling to accept that their cult is killing them. They think it will hurt for a moment and then they can live forever. Sometimes they wake up in time, but other times, like the German Nazis or Heaven’s Gate, they don’t wake up until it’s too late.

America has a national cult that has the people voting for things that are against their own best interests. America knows we need more jobs, we need a better safety net, we need more benefits for the middle class, we need to fix our health care system. Yet, the Republican voters vote for a party that is against all those things.

The cult members are drinking the poison and are dying in the streets and in the parks and behind the mini-marts because their cult has stopped their welfare, their unemployment benefits, and refuse to do anything that will produce jobs.

Yet, the cult members still follow their cult. The followers believe themselves to be Christians and follow the good book and help their neighbors, contribute to charities that help the poor. They believe that we should provide for the least among us. Yet, they still vote for a party that does just the opposite.

This is a cult following. There is no way to deny it.

If you believe in what America stands for and for Christianity and you still vote Republican, you are mesmerized by your cult. When you respond, “let them die” while you know that’s the wrong solution, your a mesmerized by your cult.

If you continue to vote Republican while they slash your wages, your retirement, your schools, your standard of living, if you continue to vote for them while your neighbors are starving and freezing to death, you are following a cult.

But, don’t despair, I’m not expecting you to come to your senses. Most cult followers die before they wake up.

But, if you’re a Republican voter, look around you and you will see, every day, more of your fellow Republicans waking up and shaking off the fog and leaving the party.

You can either wake up or you can die with your cult.

For America’s sake, I hope you wake up before you and those relying on you (America’s future) are beyond saving.

The Stripping of America’s Wealth

The Stripping of America’s Wealth

Matthew

If you are like the average American, you have seen your income and standard of living decline sharply in the past 10 years. In fact, you probably know personally many people who have seen their lives decline not just over the past 10 years but ever since the 80s.

Some of American’s money is going over seas through our insane trade policies, but the vast majority of our country’s wealth is being redistributed to the 400 wealthiest families in the country. We are being stripped of our wealth to feed the billionaires.

Yet we still grumble and bicker between ourselves. We blame each other. It’s the union workers, it’s the teachers, it’s the people with pensions, it’s the people on unemployment, welfare, food stamps. It’s the liberals or the Democrats or the Conservatives or the Libertarians …

Our news media, owned by the 1% just encourage it and refuse to explain what is really happening.

At the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Franklin said:

We must, indeed, all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.

Well, if we all bicker between ourselves and blame each other then, rather than coming together regardless of our differences, we will surely all starve separately while the rich continue to party and dance on our graves.

The Republican Party, Lost in the Dark

The Republican Party, Lost in the Dark
by
David Schlecht

The Republican voters are beginning to wake up and see exactly what party they have been voting for and the majority of these people are repulsed at what has become of the Republican party.

Just today, the Republican candidates were coached on how to act like they cared, how to act like they had empathy, how to pretend that they are anything but soulless sociopaths.  But how can you hide your sickness when you refuse to provide long term unemployment insurance for the poor and starving and freezing without demanding that you first get to take food out of the mouths of other starving children or giving more money to the rich? There’s just no hiding the true soul of the Republican party and their voters are finally beginning to see them for what they truly are.

The great majority of Americans believe we need to strengthen our safety net, increase unemployment and other benefits to the poor, increase the minimum wage, and start expecting the billionaires to pay their fair share, but the Republican party is opposed to all the things the majority of America wants. And you know what? The Republican voter is beginning to realize it.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of gullible or uneducated who will never abandon their corrupt party. But the majority of them are leaving.

That is one reason the Republican party is trying so hard to prevent people from legally voting.

Jesus said feed the hungry, clothe the naked (house the homeless), heal the sick. The Republican party says let them die. Take away unemployment benefits, take away housing assistance, repeal Obamacare.

Soulless sociopaths.

Why Obama Shouldn’t Bargain

Why Obama Shouldn’t Bargain
Matthew K.

If you’re wondering why Obama isn’t negotiating with the Tea Baggers in the House of Representatives, you haven’t been paying attention.

The budget that the Republicans are holding hostage is the same budget they’ve been holding hostage all along. The negotiations are over. Got that? Remember Boehner saying he got 98% of what he wanted? Remember the last hostage taking when the Tea Party got their sequester that we’re still suffering through? Remember when Obama said, “nothing is off the table?” Remember those times?

That is when we were in negotiations. The budget has since been agreed to, the Tea Baggers got 98% of what they want, and now, they threaten harm to our country and our government and our economy if they can’t extract even more concessions, now, long after the negotiations have been finished.

This is just like someone negotiating to buy your house and then after you’ve agreed on a price, they come back and say, give me more or I’ll burn your house down.

This is not an attempt by the Republicans to negotiate in good faith. This is nothing less than a power grab. They got away with bullying Obama last time and just like a schoolyard bully, they’re sure they can get away with it again.

Obama set an extremely bad precedent by allowing them to bully him last time and now he’s paying the price. And he will continue to pay one ransom after another until he has nothing left to offer or until he stands up straight and looks them in the eyes and says this isn’t how a democracy operates. And, thankfully, it looks like he and America have finally learned our lesson.

Hey Tea Baggers. Negotiations are over. Pay for the things that America has agreed to and quit holding our country hostage.

United We Fall

United We Fall
Dave Speck

This post is in response to Mr. Schlecht’s post yesterday encouraging us to reach across the aisle and make coalitions with the conservatives and Republicans. Let’s start by saying that I’m not disagreeing, but rather playing devil’s advocate. Maybe we’re both right in some ways.

[See us on the DailyKos Diaries]

It just might be possible that America is at a crossroad, much like the crossroads of the last gilded era (the 1920s) and the rise of Germany’s Hitler. In both of those cases, there were plenty of followers of the conservative movements. In America, the conservative movement was drowned out by a huge liberal involvement and America recovered from the gilded age with The New Deal which put a stop to the landed gentry and reversed the toxic wealth disparity through laws and taxes. Germany, on the other hand, had a liberal block that was both unwilling and unable to get traction.

In both cases, nothing was gained by compromising with the conservatives. Granted, Mr. Schlecht does not say the word, “compromise” but that seems to be where he’s heading.

What if America’s liberals of the 1930s didn’t reverse course, but rather compromised to just slow things down a little. Would America have rebounded like we did? I would say obviously not. Only by standing true to our knowledge and the facts and demanding that we act accordingly were we able to turn things around.

And, knowledge & facts are the reason that we can’t compromise with those who history & facts prove to be wrong. The conservatives are not driven by knowledge or facts. In fact, they consider anyone possessing such sorcery to be the “elite”. The conservatives prefer their fairy tales of no man made global warming, earth is 6,000 years old, and the church should dictate the laws to the country.

Honestly, I ask you, how does one “compromise” with wrong? You can only compromise if you’re willing to be part wrong, yourself.

We need to forget compromising with those who refuse to listen to the facts. There is no saving those just like there was no saving the Nazis in Germany. They know they’re right regardless of the facts staring them in the face proving they’re wrong. How do you even talk to someone like that?

I say you don’t. We need to get our word and the facts out to those who are willing to listen. If a conservative is so blind that they listen to conservative propaganda like Rush or Fox, then they’re happily ignorant and no amount of facts or coaxing will wake them up.

Instead, we need to be getting our word out to those who know we’re right but just haven’t gotten motivated yet. We need to motivate the 75% of America that know we’re right. The 75% of America who are closet liberals but are just afraid of the word because it’s been demonized so relentlessly by the fact-free conservative media.

Get out there and talk to your family and your neighbors and your friends and get them motivated. And if you can’t get through to them because they’re handicapped by their conservative propaganda, forget about them. Move on to those who might actually be able to believe the facts and learn from history.

Your Circle of Empathy

Your Circle of Empathy
by
David Schlecht

One finds countless excuses why conservatives are so different than the rest of America, excuses that range from authoritarian followers, to misplaced morals, to compartmentalized thinking, to downright sociopathy, to just plain ignorance. Many times you will see writers trying to fit all or even most of the symptoms into one shoe box or another. You will also see writers trying to put these in a less than honest light to help buffer some of the raw ugliness of their findings.

I’m going to present another perspective. This isn’t so much separate from all the rest but is rather a unified theory that includes many of the other findings and concepts.

Your Circle of Empathy

Humans have a natural inclination to feel and exhibit empathy. Your degree of empathy and the size of your circle of empathy is primarily dependent on one thing, your feeling of safety. There are other less influential factors, such as mental illness like sociopathy but this essay does not deal with those. But, it has been found that the vast majority of ruthless business owners are clinically psychopathic, finding gratification in stealing candy from babies. This is no exaggeration.

But, alas, that is a whole blog post all in itself.

Kinds of safety affect ones circle of empathy

There are many kinds of safety. Primarily, safety can be defined as freedom from want and fear. Are you afraid for your personal safety in your home and neighborhood? Are you afraid of the Mexicans invading America to steal our jobs? Are you afraid of the mooslems coming for ya? Are you afraid you won’t have enough food to feed the family tonight? Are you afraid you’re losing your home? Are you afraid that lump in your breast or throat is cancer and you don’t have decent insurance? Are you afraid you’ll be shot by a vigilante on your way home some night? Are you afraid Omaba’s commin’ for your guns?

There are countless types of fear and uncertainty that we face every day.

How Fear Reduces Our Empathy

When you have little fear and are adept at dealing with you fear, your capacity for empathy is naturally quite high, your circle of empathy contains the entire universe. You feel for the wildlife losing their habits to human encroachment, you feel for the oceans that are being poisoned and are dying around us. You feel for Mother Earth. You would probably even feel empathy for life on other worlds if they existed.

That is the natural state of human empathy.

Why do you suppose that is? Caring for the earth has allowed our small clans and societies to coexist in the world. If the cave men hadn’t survived by coexisting with the world, you and I would not be here today. Therefore, empathy is in our genes.

Now, let’s take away some of the safety. Let’s consider two small societies, living close together. When the food becomes scarce, the loving neighbors become competitors for the scarce food. They become “the other.”

If your town is hungry, you don’t have time to worry about the health of the rain forest. It’s time to slash and burn so you can feed your family. It doesn’t matter how many plants and animals have to die.

Your circle of empathy has just gotten much smaller. Even your next door neighbors are now looked at like possible competitors. In fact, when food becomes even more scarce, the loving community becomes bitter rivals. Now, it’s each family out for themselves.

Even more scarcity, more fear of hunger, and families start to split apart. Siblings are left to fend for themselves. One parent abandons the family, some times just to go out and die of hunger, leaving the food for the remainders. Sometimes parents will even abandon children when things get bad enough. This is a point where this theory ends. Some will sacrifice for the kids and many will not. The argument is, “They’ll all just die when we’re gone anyway, and we can always have more kids when things get better.”

Still some will stay together and die together and some will not. Seldom will both parents remain. We see this all the time in hunger stricken countries in Africa.

At this gruesome extreme of the safety scale, nothing is safe. The family dog starts to look like possible nutrition to keep the children alive. The size of our circle of empathy at this point includes just ourselves, and maybe our children.  That’s a pretty small circle compared to the first circle encompassing all the universe.

“Let Him Die”

How big is the circle of empathy of a person who yells, “let him die” when asked about medical care for a sick but uninsured neighbor? In this example, it wasn’t just a single person, but the entire Republican debaters and audience. Not a single person disagreed, though many were too embarrassed to admit out loud that they agreed.

Cultivating the Culture of Fear

There is no hiding the fact that the Republican party cultivates fear and capitalizes on the irrational voting behavior of their followers. The psychopathic millionaires and billionaires running the Republican party, you know, the ones without any empathy, reduce the empathy of their followers through fear and then add to that fear by reducing the safety of the American voters by destroying the things that make us safe, like industry regulations, water and food safety, drug safety, Social Security, Medicare, sitting idly by while religious fanatics attack America, taking us off to war on illegal wars.

If you don’t control your fear, the Republican party will control you.

Exposing the Republican Agenda

Exposing the Republican Agenda
by
David Schlecht

The longer the Republican primary goes on, the more disappointed Americans become of the Republican candidates.  Do you ever wonder why?

The longer the Democratic primaries go on, the more people become polarized with one candidate or another. Why?

If you have been paying any attention at all to the Republican primary, this year, it is painfully obvious, why. The more the Republican candidates cater to their base, the more out of touch they appear to the rest of America. America gets a good, honest look at that the Republican agenda is: more taxes for the working class, more tax breaks for the rich, profitize and destroy our government starting with our Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and pensions, going all the way through every facet of our country and divvy it for the billionaires who are funding them.

Unfortunately, though, many voters are ignoring the frightening display of destruction that is the Republican primary and they’ll just believe all the millions of dollars in lie-vertisements that the Republican party will be flooding into our living rooms.

The Poison Pill Killing the Post Office

The Poison Pill Killing the Post Office
by
David Schlecht

This story can’t be repeated often enough and it’s important enough that it should be on everyone’s mind and on everyone’s lips.

Five years ago, the Republican party put a poison pill into legislation that is killing the Post Office. The Post Office is now expected to fund medical benefits for their retires FOR THE NEXT SEVENTY FIVE YEARS, all in the next few years.

Think about that for a minute. The next seventy five years means they’re having to put money aside for people who aren’t even born yet and might work at the Post Office.

The purpose of this poison pill is obviously nothing less than an effort to kill the Post Office, the only office that is protected by the Constitution.

The Republicans want to give the Post Office off to one of their rich Super PAKs and they might as well make sure there are billions of dollars in medical saving accounts to give away while they’re at it.

If you’re a Republican, I’m sure you have some excuse about how your party is so unethical and so against everything America and it’s constitution stand for, but you can only lie to yourself for so long.

The Republican Party is not only poisoning the Post Office, they’re trying to poison the entire country and no body is talking about it. Have you heard about this on your Fox news channel? Nah, didn’t think so.

We have got to overturn this awful poison pill and kick the crooked Republicans out of power for the next few generations until they come clean and start working for the better of the country rather then the best interests of their billionaire donors.

The Gift of the 99%

The Gift of the 99%
Matthew

There is no denying that Fox and the Republican party is dead set against the 99% Movement and #Occupy.  I hear many a Fox viewer repeating the talking point, “The 99% doesn’t represent me.”

I don’t expect the customers of the Conservative propaganda to spend much time thinking, but this comment shows much more than just lack of thinking, but actually shows downright brain washing. If you’re not a billionaire, you’re the 99% and, no matter how much you might hate it, you represent yourself, as do the rest of the 99% of us.

Now just think about this for a minute. Before the 99% woke up, America was discussing billionaire talking points day in and day out. All the news on all the so called Liberal Media were talking the billionaire talking points of austerity and, “Oh my gosh, I think I just wet myself again over the budget.”

Now that the 99% are finding our voice, the so called Liberal Media is now forced to talk about something more than billionaire talking points. We even accidentally hear in the so called Liberal media words like “unfair wealth distribution’, and “wealth redistribution to the top 1%”, and “welfare and tax cuts for the billionaires”.

As much as the Fox viewers might hate the thought, they are waking up from their Fox delusions and realizing that Fox and the Republican party are the mouthpiece for the billionaires. There’s no wonder they hate the 99%. No wonder they hate their viewers, who are waking up. No wonder that they hate having to talk about the unfair distribution of wealth in America.

Thank you #Occupy and the 99%. We are beginning to talk about the things that really matter to America because of you.

Looking for a Leader

Looking for a Leader
Dave Speck

There’s an old joke, “Republicans want a leader, Democrats want a meeting.”

Jokes are seldom funny unless there’s a grain of truth to them.

Stop. Before you read any further, answer the question, do you think the joke is true about your political party?

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s get to the point.

Go find yourself a copy of the US constitution and find who is supposed to be the leader of the people. It’s a short and easy read. The president? Congress? But if you don’t want to go check it out for yourself, I’ll give you a clue. There isn’t one!

The framers of our constitution and the forefathers of our country didn’t want there to be leaders. It is We the People who is supposed to lead the government.

And, what’s the best way to lead the government? Through meetings, negotiations, and compromise.

Got that? The Republicans make lousy American politicians because they try to be leaders. Take George W. Bush as an example. He acted like a leader. A lousy leader with all the wrong and stupid ideas but the Republicans loved him. Why would Americans love a leader who did the damage that Bush did to America? Because they have the mistaken belief that they need a leader. That’s what makes it so easy for a strong leader with destructive ideas to become the leader of the Republicans.

America doesn’t elect leaders. If you’re electing a leader, you’re doing the thing that our founding fathers didn’t want you to do. Don’t be a follower. Be a leader and tell your REPRESENTATIVES what to do.

Democrats Stop Lies and Scare Tactics

Democrats Stop Lies and Scare Tactics
Dave Speck

The Nevada Representatives, Dean Heller publishes a letter and USA Today publishes it as gospel. Heller says the Democrats should stop the lies and scare tactics because the Republican don’t want to kill Social Security and Medicare.

Doing a quick Google search brings up endless examples of just that, Republicans claiming that helping one another is against the constitution. And, since they took a pledge to protect the constitution (not to mention the pledge to destroy America), that means they must end those illegal programs. This is just one of so many examples of Republicans vowing to destroy Social Security and Medicare.

As always, this us just another example of how devoid of any conscience or morals the Republican party is. They are all just a bunch of liars and hypocrites.

Why anyone who doesn’t hate America still votes for these America-destroying Republicans is the question of the day.

Hey, Nevada! Heller must make you real proud! Just another Republican liar.

The War Against American Voters

The War Against American Voters
by
David Schlecht

You don’t hear anything about this issue in the Liberal Media so it must be another example of the Liberals trying to take away voting rights from Americans. Right? Wouldn’t you think that’s what it must be?

Well, no. I guess it’s not such a Liberal Media after all. In fact, the news you don’t hear anything about is the news about the tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of liberals who are being denied their right to vote by the Republicans.

Have you heard anything in your news about how the 20 Republican state governors are almost unanimously trying to restrict voting by poor and middle class people? How? By demanding a poll tax, by demanding licenses or other means of identification. These requirements are unreasonable for millions of Americans who don’t drive.

You don’t hear anything in the Liberal Media about how the average wait time for voting in wealthy precincts is 15 minutes but the wait time in poor neighborhoods is over an hour. This is obvious voter suppression and the Republican party has been admonished for doing this before but they just keep on doing it.

Now, I want you to ask yourself, whether you are a Republican or Democrat, should we be allowing parties to do this stuff?

The most common excuse you’ll hear is, “Oh my gosh, the Democrats are doing it too. Have you heard about the millions of voter fraud where Democrats got elected illegally? Well, this is just making up for all that.”

Well, actually, yes, I’ve heard that lie many times from the likes of O’Liely, or Beck, or Hannity. But every time people try to actually find examples of these voter frauds, there’s never one to be found. In fact, the number of cases of voter fraud is typically less than 10 per DECADE and are often just cases of people voting in the wrong precincts, not people voting twice.

So, why don’t we disqualify political parties that try to prevent millions of people from voting? Republicans can tell you why. Because, well, um, ahh, oh, hey. look over there, something shiny.

Why doesn’t the news tell us about this?

But, you and I know that we can tell this news to Republicans and they won’t believe it and will refuse to even investigate it. That’s probably because they already know it’s true but just don’t want to quit cheering for their corrupt team, even as America suffers.

Why does anyone still vote Republican? Why haven’t the Republican voters started recalling their criminals from office?

Have you evern been denied the right to vote?
